With optimal conditions, the Koolaire KDT-1700W full-cube ice machine head can produce 1,765 pounds of full-cube ice. Since this ice melts slowly, it is excellent for alcoholic drinks that are meant to be sipped. The self-contained condensing unit facilitates service since all of its components are in the same place. Its exterior has a finish that resembles stainless steel and resists fingerprints and dents.

The Koolaire KDT-1700W full-cube ice machine head's food zone is sealed to reduce bacterial growth, and its white plastic parts help staff identify dirty areas. This unit can be cleaned with the push of a button. To make ice, water sprays over the evaporator plate through a distribution tube. A water shield keeps water contained and prevents it from splashing onto the food zone. When they need to be cleaned, the pump, floats, and trough can be removed without tools.
