Koolaire KYT0400A 30" Half Cube Ice Machine Head - 450 lb/day, Air Cooled, 115v

The Koolaire KYT-0400A ice machine head can produce 450 pounds of ice in a day, depending on air and water temperatures. Cubes are formed in the evaporator grid after water is poured in by the distribution tube, and a splashguard ensures that water does not contact surfaces that should remain dry. The grid forms half-size cubes that can be used in cold displays or beverages. Although they melt more quickly than full-size cubes, they fill more space in a glass. This machine can be combined with a Koolaire ice bin to catch and store ice as it is produced.

The Koolaire KYT-0400A ice maker has a smooth finish that looks like stainless steel and reduces smudging and fingerprints. Its condenser is air cooled, so it is less expensive to operate than a water-cooled condenser. When cleaning the unit, employees clearly can see dirt and scale buildup in areas that contact water since they stand out against the white plastic surfaces. Interior components such as the distribution tube and shield are removable for more thorough cleaning.
