Koolaire KYT0400W 30" Half Cube Ice Machine Head - 422 lb/day, Water Cooled, 115v

With ideal air and water temperatures, the Koolaire KYT-0400W ice machine head can produce 422 pounds of half-size cubes. These cubes work great in glasses, where they settle closely together to displace water. Alternatively, they can be bagged or used to create chilled displays. In this unit, water runs through the distribution tube and onto the evaporator plate, where it collects into cubes. Once the water is frozen, the plate releases the ice. Although it is not included, a Koolaire ice bin can be purchased to catch the cubes as they fall and keep them until needed.

For quick cleanup, the Koolaire KYT-0400W ice maker has white plastic in places that come into contact with water. This coloration helps expose any dirt or mold growing on the surface. Its pump, distribution tube, and shield can all be removed and cleaned thoroughly. This unit's water-cooled condenser requires many times more water than an air-cooled unit, so it is recommended for use only in settings with recirculating cold water systems. The benefit to this design is it does not produce as much heat and noise, which makes it a good choice for hotels and other guest-area uses.
