Koolaire KYT0420A 22" Half Cube Ice Machine Head - 450 lb/day, Air Cooled, 115v

The Koolaire KYT-0420A ice machine head can create 450 pounds of ice when air and water temperatures are ideal. These cubes are half-size and work well in many different applications, such as cold displays, bags, and beverages. They are formed in the evaporator plate when water flows from the distribution tube and over the plate's surface, collecting in frozen crystals. Extra water is diverted by a water shield to prevent damage to internal components. The frozen cubes can then fall from the evaporator plate and into an ice bin, saving ice for when large amounts are needed and reducing stress on the machine. Although a bin is not provided, Koolaire offers a compatible 310-pound-capacity bin.

The Koolaire KYT-0420A ice maker has an air-cooled condenser, which uses less water than other options but produces more noise. For quick inspection and cleaning, the pump, distribution tube, and water shield can be removed without tools. Areas that get wet regularly are made of white plastic to contrast with debris and buildup and make them more visible to staff. The exterior of the machine has the appearance of stainless steel and is resistant to fingerprints.
